Start Material Sourcing on Your Phone Without Waiting for an App
A material requirement can come up while you are walking a site, reviewing a landscape detail, or discussing the next project phase. You do not need to postpone the first sourcing steps until a native app is available. Matravo’s iOS and Android applications are in development; for now, continue using the website. The useful starting point is a clear purchasing requirement, not a particular device.
1. Use the website for the sourcing process available now
Matravo’s website connects construction and landscape material requests with supplier offers. It is an RFQ-to-offer marketplace, not a material seller, inventory catalog, or shopping cart. For buyers, that means starting with what a project needs and using the sourcing conversation to understand what suppliers propose.
The scope includes structural materials, building envelopes, finishes, building services, and landscaping. Choose the material family that matches the requirement, then use its guides to prepare the specification, quantity, unit, and delivery requirements. A phone can be where you begin organizing those details, even if you later review a complicated comparison at a desk.
There is no need to assume that the future apps will have particular capabilities or arrive on a particular date. The official mobile-app availability support article says that App Store and Google Play links will be shared there when the applications become available. Use that announcement rather than planning procurement around an expected launch.
2. Prepare a request that a supplier can interpret
Before starting, separate the purchasing requirement from the wider project description. “Materials for a courtyard” gives context, but it does not tell a supplier what to quote. A usable request identifies the material, its intended application, the required quantity, and the conditions that matter to the buyer.
- Material and specification: Record the material family, relevant dimensions, finish, and any project requirements that need confirmation.
- Quantity and unit: State both explicitly. Do not leave suppliers to guess whether a number means pieces, area, volume, or weight.
- Delivery requirements: Identify the destination, requested timing, and site access or unloading constraints that may affect the proposal.
- Open questions: Distinguish confirmed requirements from alternatives you are willing to discuss.
For landscape paving, for example, note the intended use, dimensions, finish, quantity, and delivery location. If an item is still undecided, say so instead of supplying a guess. Clear inputs make it easier to understand an offer’s scope; they do not guarantee availability, a delivery date, or a particular price.
3. Create an account, then keep discussions tied to the request
On the Matravo website, choose Create account to open the registration route. Use an email address you control and provide accurate business information. If you already have an account, choose Sign in. Buyers can start free, but that should not be read as a promise that every feature is universally free forever.
After setting out a request, be ready to clarify details rather than treating the first description as the whole conversation. Web chat is available on the request before an offer: entitled sellers start threads, and buyers reply to existing threads. Opening phone or contact details after a deal is a separate rule, not a condition for using that web chat.
Keep answers specific. If a supplier asks whether an alternative dimension is acceptable, explain which requirement is fixed and which can change. Consistent clarifications help you compare proposals without silently changing the purchasing brief from one discussion to another.
4. Review the offer, not just the headline amount
A phone is convenient for reading a response, but a purchasing decision still requires attention to scope. Check whether the proposed material matches the request and whether the quantity and quoted unit are the same ones you intended. Identify exclusions or assumptions before treating two totals as comparable.
Confirm the product, commercial terms, and responsibilities directly with the supplier. Ask what delivery arrangements are proposed, who handles unloading, and what remains subject to agreement. Your requested timing is not a supplier commitment, and a guide or support answer is not a quotation.
If physical appearance matters, buyers and suppliers may independently agree on physical samples. Do not assume that this means Matravo provides built-in sample ordering, tracking, or fulfillment. The practical objective is to resolve the material question with the supplier and understand how any agreed sample relates to the proposed supply.
5. Report browser problems clearly and take the next step
If something goes wrong on your phone, contact support with your device, operating system, browser, and the page involved. Explain what you were trying to do and what happened instead. A screenshot can help, provided confidential details have been removed. These specifics are more useful than simply saying that the mobile website does not work.
For registration or sign-in trouble, include your account email, the page address, the time of the problem, and the exact error message. Say whether you were creating an account, waiting for a verification message, or signing in. Never send your password, verification code, recovery code, or full payment-card details.
You can prepare a useful material brief without waiting for an app release. Open the Matravo website, choose Create account or Sign in, and begin with the material requirement your project needs to clarify next.
