- State whether the layer is exposed to weather, enclosed, below grade or in a service void before requesting alternatives.
- Nominal dimensions and coverage
- Request board or roll width, length, edge profile and declared coverage per pack, tied to the net take-off area.
- Interfaces and accessories
- Name the vapour control, tapes, fastenings, packers and termination details that must be quoted with the insulation layer.
- Condition on arrival
- Require packaging, pallet quantities, weather protection and storage condition commitments suitable for the programme.

No. Ask for the declared thermal resistance or conductivity at the proposed thickness and confirm the application and facing type match the project schedule.
Should the vapour control layer be quoted with the insulation boards?
List the vapour control membrane, tapes and sealants explicitly. Ask the supplier to state whether they are included, optional or supplied under a separate package.
