Wall blocks by application
Separate internal partitions, external leaves and infill walls. State the wall schedule reference and restrict the request to AAC blocks supplied for that location.
Adhesive and mortar interface
Describe the jointing material and required bed thickness as a separate interface item. Do not hide thin-bed adhesive inside a per-square-metre block rate.
Accessory and connection pieces
List lintels, U-shells, fixing plates, edge profiles and any connection material needed at floor, roof or opening junctions for the same package.

Six details that make offers clearer.
- Product designation and wall schedule
- State the exact AAC block product designation, wall schedule code and any project-prescribed size or strength requirement.
- Block format and dimensions
- List length, height and thickness by wall zone. Confirm whether plain or profiled ends and grip holes are required.
- Density and mass requirement
- Provide the density class or mass requirement from the project specification. Ask the supplier to identify the product data used.
- Jointing and bedding material
- Describe the jointing material, application thickness and whether the supplier includes adhesive or mortar in the block offer.
- Wall zone and exposure
- Identify internal, external or below-ground use so the supplier can connect the block choice with the approved project requirement.
- Allowances and quantity basis
- Separate net measured block area from cutting and waste allowance. State the measurement basis for each wall zone.

Request net wall area per wall zone and keep cutting allowance separate. This lets suppliers show the same quantity basis for each block format and thickness.
What belongs in the AAC package beyond blocks?
Adhesive mortar lintels and connection pieces can belong to the same package. State each item with its unit so the offer does not mix them into one area rate.
