- State the exact reinforcing steel or structural steel grade, product form and any project-prescribed performance or dimensional requirement.
- Bar and member schedule
- Attach the current bar schedule and member list with drawing number and revision so offers follow one source.
- Dimensions and sections
- List bar diameters, section depths, plate thicknesses and lengths; identify permitted tolerances from project data.
- Quantity basis
- Separate tonnes, metres and pieces. State whether overlap, cropping or wastage allowances are included.
- Fabrication detail
- Describe required bending shapes, hole positions, weld preparations and edges using the schedule drawings.
- Finish and protection
- Ask for the specified coating, primer or corrosion protection to be referenced against the project requirement.
