Separate rotary sprinklers, spray bodies, nozzles and zone kits for turf or shrub areas. Identify the designer's spacing and duty per zone so proposals stay comparable.
Control, filtration and valve packages
List controllers, valves, filters, sensors and connection assemblies as the system-level package. Keep each station and inlet detail linked to the approved zone plan.

Six details that make offers clearer.
- Water source and inlet condition
- State the available water source, pressure range, flow basis and inlet location. Attach the designer's hydraulic note or utility data.
- Zone plan and schedule
- Reference each zone by the designer's code. Give station count, connected area and demand per zone instead of a single total area.
- Water application and spacing
- Identify drip emitters, dripline spacing or sprinkler type and nozzle requirement. Ask the supplier to quote the specified pattern, not a generic equivalent.
- Valve, filter and control package
- List valve size and function, filter grade and controller station count. Identify project-specified sensors, isolation valves and other control devices separately, and confirm the scope of each.
- Connection dimensions and fittings
- Request pipe size, thread type and transition fittings at the inlet and between zone components. Avoid depending on the supplier's assumed standard.
- Commissioning and seasonal handover
- Describe start-up, flushing, controller programming and seasonal shutdown separately. Identify the responsible installer or maintenance team.

Compare quotes against the designer's zone codes and flow per station. Ask suppliers to show deviations from the approved schedule.
Drip versus sprinkler scope
Check whether drip line, filtration and pressure control are quoted inside the same zone or shown separately. Missing filters change the system boundary.
Commissioning scope
Identify whether flushing, programming, seasonal start-up and shutdown are included or excluded, and name the responsible party for each.

What inlet information must the designer provide?
The designer should supply pressure, flow basis, water source and connection details at each irrigation inlet. Do not let suppliers assume a standard supply condition.
Is seasonal commissioning part of landscape irrigation supply?
Not automatically. Flushing, controller programming and seasonal shutdown or start-up should be listed as separate scope and confirmed with the installer or maintainer.
